CollaborationNI was formally launched on 30 March 2011 as a partnership programme between NICVA, CO3 and Stellar Leadership, commissioned by Building Change Trust.
CollaborationNI provides practical support and resources across the whole spectrum of collaborative working to voluntary and community sector organisations.
Any organisation working in the voluntary and community sector can access support from CollaborationNI, irrespective of its size, geographical location or field of work.
Whether an organisation is at the stage of exploring an idea, seeking a partner, developing an existing relationship or driving forward an agreed project, the aim of CollaborationNI is to provide support, training and access to the learning and experience already out there in the sector.
CollaborationNI can assist organisations consider a wide range of collaborative working arrangements, including:
- sharing office space and buildings;
- sharing staff;
- sharing resources;
- information sharing;
- greater networking;
- joint training;
- establishing systems to cross-refer beneficiaries;
- sharing organisational support services such as finance,
- human resources or IT;
- formation of new group structures and umbrella bodies; and
