Training & Events

CollaborationNI’s training events aim to guide participating voluntary and community sector leaders through the process of developing new collaborative relationships.

By working across organisational boundaries, voluntary and community sector senior executives and boards can respond proactively to perceived threats to their organisation’s work and sustainability in the current fiscal and funding climate - and seize back some control of their own destiny.

CollaborationNI can offer bespoke and tailored training.

  • Working Collaboratively to Win Tenders

    6 June 2013 | £50 (total for two days)

CollaborationNI has designed a new two day training programme to support third sector managers who want to work with others in making a tender bid. The programme shows how to go about putting together a tender with a specific focus on consortia and partnership working. Given the trend towards consortium bidding for contracts this session is a timely opportunity for organisations to find out more and prepare for any future collaborative work
Training will be delivered on 6 June and 13 June 2013.  You must attend both days.

  • Working in partnership:Getting it right

    18 June 2013 | £25

Partnership working in the voluntary and community sector has become commonplace.  However, the experience of working in partnership can be very varied.  While some partnerships grow and flourish and make huge impacts, others can struggle to find any sense of momentum.
This workshop will offer practical tools and techniques that can easily be applied to partnership working settings. If applied, they offer the opportunity to help create very successful partnerships.

  • Handling Difficult Conversations

    12 September 2013 | £25.00

All too often in the internal workplace or externally with partners and stakeholders, the important but difficult conversations do not take place thus leading to poor communication and disappointing professional relationships. This one day workshop will enable participants to plan and deliver a difficult conversation with confidence, while maintaining and developing the right relationships with key stakeholders.
